Black Bears with 4th straight with three-game sweep of Tomahawks

Maryland defenseman Luke Arnell had four points in a weekend sweep of Johnstown.
Maryland 4 @ Johnstown 2 – The Black Bears won their 4th straight game as they completed a three-game weekend road sweep on Sunday with a 4-2 win over the Tomahawks. Luke Janus led the way with two goals.
The score was even at 1-1 after the first period with Jaden Johnson scoring first for Johnstown and Janus answering later in the period for the Black Bears.
Maryland then went ahead 2-1 in the 2nd period with Janus’ second goal of the night. Johnstown equalized six minutes later as Justin Gibson found the back of the net.
In the 3rd period, Maryland took the lead for good on a goal from Luke Amell and Adam Schankula would add an empty-net goal to make it a 4-2 final.
Colin Ronan had to make just 9 saves in the win, while Jacob Osborne took the loss with 26 saves.
