Coleman represented the Norsemen at the 2024 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament in February.

The St. Cloud Norsemen of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Michael Coleman has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for UMass in the Hockey East Conference.

In the NAHL, Coleman recorded 25 goals and 25 assists in a season where STC fell short of the North American Hockey League Playoffs.

Coleman will be joining fellow teammate and Mr Hockey Finalist, Rhys Wallin (Wayzata, Minn./Wayzata H.S.). Wallin spent a short stint in the NAHL recording two goals in five games after concluding his high school hockey season.

The two freshmen are excited to make an impact on Greg Carvel’s Minuteman squad.

In 2024, the University of Massachusetts-Amherst Minuteman finished with a 20-14-3 overall record and a 12-10-2 conference record (Hockey East).

The Minuteman would advance to the NCAA Northeast Region in Springfield, Mass. UMass fell to the eventual national champion (Denver Pioneers).

Next season, the team will open regular season action on October 5, as they face a road test against Bentley University. The team will return home to host the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) for an exhibition matchup on Oct. 6 at the Mullins Center.
