Windigo goaltender Lipskis makes NCAA DI Commitment
The Wisconsin Windigo of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that goaltender Linards Lipskis has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Stonehill College.
The 6 '2'' netminder, is a two-year NAHL player, suiting up for both the Bismarck Bobcats and the Wisconsin Windigo, appearing in a total of 67 games. During his junior career, the Riga, Latvia native posted a 37-20-7 record, while maintaining a .919 save percentage and 2.40 goals against average, in addition to recording 9 shutouts.
“Linards kind of flew under the radar with a great season and he was a big part of our success this year. I think he is just scratching the surface of his ability and I’m excited to watch him help Stonehill build up their program,” stated Windigo Head Coach Blake Hietala.
Lipskis is the 15th player to commit for the Windigo this season.
