Mountain Kings Double Up Generals

New Hampshire 4 @ Northeast 2 - A quick start from the New Hampshire Mountain Kings gave them enough cushion to hold off the Northeast Generals by a score of 4-2. Nicholas Reif got the scoring started with his sixth of the season midway through the opening period. The Mountain Kings upped their lead to three with back to back goals from Thomas Quast and Alexander Duhon in the final few minutes of the frame. In the second, Jack Montaldo got Northeast on the board with his fourth of the campaign. Jack Laferriere scored his first of the year in the third period to bring Northeast within one. That’s as close as they would get as Oli Genest put home his league leading 35th goal of the year with an empty net tally in the closing seconds. Sam Caufield stopped 35 of the 37 shots he faced to earn the win. Carson Barnes and Ryan Nolan teamed up to make 24 saves in the loss.
