Cody Kempf scored twice in the IceRays win
Odessa 4 @ Corpus Christi 5 – In the NAHL’s lone matchup of the day, the Corpus Christi IceRays took down the Odessa Jackalopes 5-4 in a barnburner. Cody Kempf hit the back of net twice to open the scoring for the IceRays, before James Richman put the Jackalopes within one before the period ended. To begin the second, Henry Thornton lit the lamp to even the score, before Stepan Kuznetsov and Will Reardon regained the lead for Corpus Christi. Midway through the third, Grayson Gerhard extended the lead for the IceRays. Despite one last gasp from Austin Richards and Jeremy Jacobs, Odessa fell just shy as the IceRays hung onto win 5-4 and clinch a spot in the Robertson Cup playoffs.
