Mountain Kings, Brown Bears Win On Thursday

Philadelphia 2 @ New Hampshire 3 - Jack MacDonald scored twice in the final six minutes including the game winning goal with just 48 seconds remaining to lift the New Hampshire Mountain Kings to a 3-2 decision over the Philadelphia Rebels. Ruslan Jamaldinov opening the scoring with his 15th of the season in the first period. It would remain 1-0 all the way until the third period where Thomas Quast evened the game at one. Billy Sheridan put Philadelphia in the lead again with his 11th of the campaign with just over eight minutes to play. Then MacDonald took over, first tying the game at two with 5:49 left and then giving New Hampshire the lead with under a minute to play and give the Mountain Kings two crucial points in the standings. Sam Caulfield earned the win in net with 30 saves while Owen Crudale suffered the loss despite making 23 stops.
Springfield 4 @ Kenai River 7 - An explosive six minutes in the first period saw the Brown Bears build a big lead they would not relinquish as they took down Springfield 7-4. Andrew Larson netted a pair of goals and added a helper to lead charge. Thomas Gunderson, West Berg and Brady Engelkes each contributed a goal and two assists of their own in the win. Dario Lass had a goal and an assist for Kenai River while Riley Mullen also got on the scoresheet. Logan Ganz let the way offensively for Springfield, he netted two goals and had an assist. Niko Laus and Jagur McClelland also lit the lamp for the Jr. Blues. Mitchell McCusker was the winner in goal with 24 stops. Jack Kavetsky took the loss with 21 saves.
