Oklahoma Forward Ushakov makes NCAA DIII Commitment

The Oklahoma Warriors of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Gleb Ushakov has committed to play NCAA Division III for Buffalo State University in the SUNYAC.
The 5’11 skater will be hitting the ice as a Bengal in the fall. Ushakov is a first-year skater in the league. The 20-year-old has laced up in 56 matchups for the Warriors and has tallied two goals and produced six assists on the year. The ‘04 lefty is a product of the NAHL and the ladder of development. He spent three seasons playing in the NAPHL before getting the opportunity to hit the ice in the NAHL.
Head coach of the Warriors, Nate Weossner, shares his excitement for Usakov to be taking his next step in his hockey playing career.
“Gleb is the ultimate competitor. There’s no question about what you’re gonna get from him every night. It’s just in him. He does what the team needs. He gives everything he has on every shift. He does it in practice, he does it in games, he does it all the time every day. He’s a really interesting story with what he’s had to go through to achieve this, and we as an organization could not be happier for him.”
Ushakov is one of five members of the Oklahoma Warriors to make a college ice hockey commitment.
