Philadelphia Defenseman Strand makes NCAA DI Commitment

The Philadelphia Rebels of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Bryce Strand has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Minnesota State Mankato in the CCHA.
Strand is a third-year veteran of the Rebels. The ‘04 blueliner spotlighted one goal and 19 assists over 54 games with Philadelphia this season. The 5’9 lefty suited up in 60 games last season for the Rebels and featured three goals and six assists. His debut season had the Wisconsin native lacing up for 36 contests. He found the back of the net once and produced three assists.
Strand reveals his excitement in furthering his education and hockey career with the Mavericks.
“I’m proud to announce my commitment to play Division I college hockey at Minnesota State Mankato! I’d like to thank my parents, coaches, family, and teammates for helping me along the way.”
Head coach of the Rebels, Justin Hale, explains his excitement for Strand.
“I am super excited for Bryce. He is another one of our guys who has been here since the beginning. Bryce has trusted the process, approached every day the right way, been an outstanding teammate, and now is being rewarded. I look forward to continuing to follow his journey at the Division I level.”
Strand is the sixth member of the Philadelphia Rebels to make a Division I hockey college commitment.
