The Danbury Hat Tricks of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Luke Golisano has committed to play NCAA hockey for Plymouth State University in the Little East Conference.
The 6’0 righty from Carmel, New York is heading to skate with the Panthers in New Hampshire. Golisano has experience playing with the Hat Tricks over two separate seasons. This past year he laced up in 49 contests and tallied eight goals and nine assists. One of his eight goals was scored on the man advantage. The ‘04 skater got his first taste of the league during the 2022-2023 season where he played in 10 games with Danbury. In that short stint, he scored a goal with the Hat Tricks.
Golisano shares his excitement for the next step in his hockey-playing career and reflects on his time with the Danbury organization.
“I am excited for the opportunity to continue my hockey career at Plymouth State University. I want to give a huge thank you to my family for their constant love and support, and to my coaches, mentors, teammates, and the entire Danbury Hat Tricks organization for helping me to develop both on and off the ice. My time with Danbury has been unforgettable, and I am extremely grateful for the experience and friendships I have made. Thank you to the General Manager Bob Thornton and Coach Lenny for your support and dedication on this journey. Lastly, thank you to the coaching staff at Plymouth State for giving me this great opportunity.”
Head coach of the Hat Tricks, Lenny Caglianone, shares more on Golisano’s development.
“Luke has grown considerably throughout the season. He brings culture and the tenacity to compete in every single game. Seeing him develop during the year and work on his 200-foot play has been awesome. Coach Russell is getting an amazing human and a great hockey player. God bless Luke and his family. I couldn’t be happier for them.”
Golisano is one of ten members of the Danbury Hat Tricks to make a college ice hockey commitment.
