Colorado Defenseman Smutney makes NCAA Commitment

The Colorado Grit of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Evan Smutney has committed to play NCAA hockey for St. Olaf College in the MIAC.
The 21-year-old from Watertown, Connecticut will be lacing up for Oles in Northfield, Minnesota in the fall. The 6’3 blueliner is a first-year skater in the league. He ranks third on his team for blueliners with 19 total points on the season. The righty has found the back of the net four times and produced 15 assists in his 59 games played. He scored one of his goals on the man advantage, and that goal was the decider in that contest.
Smutney is the twelfth member of the Colorado Grit to make a college hockey commitment.
