Fairbanks Forward Gulenchyn makes NCAA Commitment

The Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Brent Gulenchyn has committed to play NCAA hockey for University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in the WIAC.
The 5’10 righty from the State of Hockey is a second-year veteran of the Ice Dogs. Gulenchyn will skate with the Blugolds in the fall in Wisconsin. This past season he laced up in 51 games for the Ice Dogs, tallying 10 goals and 12 assists. Gulenchyn is effective when Fairbanks is down a member, three of his goals were scored shorthanded. The 21-year-old hit the ice in 58 games in his debut season for Fairbanks. He scored six times and made eight assists for the Ice Dogs. Gulenchyn played a total of 109 games with the Ice Dogs and will continue his hockey playing career with his teammates. Gulenchyn will join Wyatt Carlson and Cole Burke at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Gulenchyn is one of twelve members of the Fairbanks Ice Dogs to make a college hockey commitment.
