The Aberdeen Wings of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Ryder Many Grey Horses has committed to play NCAA hockey for Aurora University in the NCHA.
The 5’11 righty from Alberta, Canada will skate with the Spartans in the fall in Aurora, Illinois. He is a first-year skater in the NAHL. The ‘04 forward started his season with the El Paso Rhinos before being acquired by the Wings. With El Paso, he laced up in 39 games, tallying nine goals and 10 assists. Once he was acquired by Aberdeen in February, Many Grey Horses hit the ice in 26 games with the Central Division team. He scored eight goals and made 10 assists in 26 games. Two of his eight goals were the decider in contests and two goals were scored on the man advantage.
The Canadian will hit campus with fellow NAHL skater from the Maryland Black Bears, Sebastien Brockman.
Many Grey Horses went into detail on what it means to continue his hockey playing career.
“I’m excited and honoured to announce my commitment to play DIII hockey at Aurora University. This is an excellent opportunity to expand my hockey journey while also pursuing my education. I would like to thank my family, coaches, teammates, friends, and my home community, Siksika Nation, for the encouragement and support!”
Head Coach and General Manager of the Wings, Scott Langer shares his excitement for Many Grey Horses.
“Ryder was a great acquisition to our lineup this year. He plays with energy and brings the element of scoring and making plays.”
Many Grey Horses is one of ten members of the Aberdeen Wings to make a college hockey commitment.
