Johnstown Defenseman Olenczak makes NCAA Commitment

The Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Caden Olenczak has committed to play NCAA hockey for Amherst College in the NESCAC.
Hailing from the Peach State, Olenczak will be skating with the Mammoths in Massachusetts in the fall. The 5’11 lefty is a first-year blueliner in the NAHL. This past season he has hit the ice in 65 games for the Tomahawks, tallying eight goals and 32 assists. His eight goals rank him first on his team among defenseman, while his 32 assists put him second overall on the Tomahawks for the year. Three of his eight goals were scored on the man advantage, while one goal was named the decider in a contest.
Thanks to his work on the ice for the Tomahawks, Olenczak was named a Top Prospect for the East Division team at the 2025 Top Prospects Tournament. Additionally, the defenseman will be joining Romulus Riego De Dios from the Anchorage Wolverines this upcoming year at Amherst College.
Olenczak is one of the fifteen members of the Johnstown Tomahawks to make a college ice hockey commitment.
