Kenai River Forward Yoon makes NCAA Commitment
Joseph Yoon has committed to play NCAA hockey for Bethel University

The Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Joseph Yoon has committed to play NCAA hockey for Bethel University in the MIAC.
The 5’10 righty hailing from the State of Hockey is heading to play with the Royals in the fall. Yoon is a second-year veteran of the Brown Bears. The ‘05 forward has played in over 100 games for Kenai River. This past season, Yoon laced up in 55 games, tallying nine goals and 11 assists. Yoon was effective on the man advantage and five of his nine goals were scored on the power play. In his debut season with the Brown Bears, the Minnesota native hit the ice in 48 contests. He found the back of the net four times while producing eight assists.
The 20-year-old will head to Bethel University with three fellow NAHL players in the fall. Joining him will be Christian Tavere from the Odessa Jackalopes, Luke Sawicky from the Springfield Jr. Blues, and George Peterson from the Chippewa Steel.
Yoon is one of three members of the Kenai River Brown Bears to make a college ice hockey commitment.
