El Paso Defenseman Kimble makes NCAA Commitment

The El Paso Rhinos of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Lawson Kimble has committed to play NCAA hockey for College of St. Scholastica in the MIAC.
The 21-year-old from Granite City, Illinois, is heading to skate with the Saints in Duluth, Minnesota, in the fall. Kimble is a 5’11 righty, and he hit the ice in 56 games this past season with the Rhinos, where he tallied 10 assists. The ‘04 blueliner is an example of the ladder of development that the NAHL promotes. Kimble is a former NAPHL defenseman, skating with CarShield for four seasons in the NAPHL.
Kimble will join Kennan Reyelts from the Colorado Grit in Duluth, Minnesota.
Head coach of the Rhinos, Mike Rivera, shares more on the impact Kimble has had on the Rhinos this season.
“We are happy to see Lawson commit to college. He was an anchor for our backend last season, and brought a much-needed physical presence. His continuous development over the season led to a bigger role and increased minutes down the stretch. Lawson’s attention to defensive detail and physical play will make him an asset at the NCAA level.”
Kimble is one of eleven members of the El Paso Rhinos to make a college ice hockey commitment.
