New Jersey Defenseman Robertson makes NCAA Commitment

The New Jersey Titans of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Saxen Robertson has committed to play NCAA hockey for Connecticut College in the NESCAC.
Hailing from the Keystone State and serving as a keystone piece in developing younger defensemen for the Titans, Robertson will hit the ice in New London, Connecticut, this fall. The 6’1 lefty laced up for a total of 50 games this season. He started his year with New Jersey and was then acquired in early November by the Rochester Jr. Americans. Following being acquired by the Jr. Americans, he then returned to the Titans in early February. In his 32 games played with New Jersey, he found the back of the net twice and produced four assists. One of his two goals was scored on the man advantage. This upcoming fall, Michael Stenberg from the Maine Nordiques will join Robertson at Connecticut College.
Head Coach of the Titans, George Haviland, shares more on Robertson’s development and what type of teammate he was on the Titans.
“What can I say about Saxen? This guy was a warrior at every practice and every game. There isn’t anything that Saxen wouldn’t do for his teammates or the organization. He led by example and really used his experience of junior hockey to help mold the younger defensemen inside the organization. He made them ready to take a big role this upcoming year. The Titans will miss Saxen Robertson tremendously, not only on the blue line, but in our organization. Connecticut College got another great Titan.”
Robertson is one of 14 members of the New Jersey Titans to make a college ice hockey commitment.
