The Oklahoma Warriors of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Caiden Mech has committed to play NCAA hockey for Wilkes University in the MAC.
The 6’0 righty from the Golden State is heading to Pennsylvania to skate with the Colonels. Mech is a first-year skater in the NAHL. He hit the ice in 46 games for the Warriors this season. The 21-year-old found the back of the net four times while producing five assists for the Oklahoma team. The ‘04 forward scored one of his four goals on the man advantage.
Head coach of the Warriors, Mick Berge, shared his excitement for Mech’s next step.
“We are very happy for Caiden on his commitment to play NCAA hockey. He is a selfless player who gave everything he had anytime he was on the ice. His work ethic and determination will help him be successful in whatever he chooses to do in the future. We wish him luck and look forward to seeing his growth in the years to come.”
Mech is one of six members of the Oklahoma Warriors to make a college ice hockey commitment.
