August 19, 2025

The North Iowa Bulls of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that goaltender Kyle Ozgun has committed to play NCAA Hockey for Skidmore College in the SUNYAC.

The 5’11 lefty from Ridgefield, New Jersey, is heading to Saratoga Springs, New York, to play in the blue paint for the Thoroughbreds. Ozgun is a first-year netminder in the NAHL. This past season, he laced up in 35 games for the Bulls. He featured two shutout performances for North Iowa. His first shutout happened on October 4, 2024, against the St. Cloud Norsemen with a 31-save performance. His second shutout took place on January 18, 2025, against the Minnesota Mallards with a 30-save performance. Ozgun recorded 12 wins for the Bulls when he was in the net and featured a .902 save percentage.

Head Coach of the Bulls, Nick Bruneteau, shares more on what he has seen from Ozgun this season.

“Kyle had a great season. He routinely made big saves and gave us a chance to win every night. We look forward to watching his success at the next level and wish him all the best.”

Ozgun  is one of nine members of the North Iowa Bulls to make a college ice hockey commitment.
