Bismarck Forward Hunter makes NCAA Commitment

The Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Evan Hunter has committed to play NCAA hockey for St. Norbert College in the NCHA.
The 5’10 righty from Appleton, Wisconsin is staying in his home state to skate with the Green Knights in the fall. Hunter has laced up for the Bobcats for the past three seasons and helped Bismarck secure the Robertson Cup this past season. Hunter laced up in 66 games, tallying 12 goals and 25 assists for the roster. Three of his goals were scored on the man advantage while three goals were named as game-winning goals. The ‘04 skater was named as a Top Prospect for the Central Division roster for the 2025 Top Prospects Tournament.
“St. Norbert felt like a good fit because it is a great school that also has a very successful hockey program with great coaches and great people. I can’t wait to get started there,” Hunter said.
In Hunter’s 2023-24 campaign, the Wisconsin native hit the ice in 65 games, finding the back of the net 20 times while notching 40 assists for the Bismarck roster. Four of his goals were named as the decider in contests while eight goals were scored on the man advantage. Hunter’s debut season in the NAHL saw him rocking the Bobcats logo in 57 games. The 5’10 righty scored 13 goals and made 26 assists. He scored five goals on the power play and made one game-winning goal. Hunter played a total of 188 games in the NAHL, notching 136 career points. He will join the five-time Division III National Champions, the St. Norbert College Green Knights.
Hunter is one of 21 members of the Bismarck Bobcats to make a college hockey commitment.
