Bismarck Defenseman Sandven makes NCAA Commitment

The Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Charlie Sandven has committed to play NCAA hockey for Gustavus Adolphus College in the MIAC.
The Minnesota native will return to his home state to skate with the Golden Gusties in the fall. Sandven hit the ice for the Bobcats for 67 games this past season and was a member of the 2025 Robertson Cup Championship roster. The 6’3 lefty found the back of the net twice and produced 17 assists for Bismarck. One of his two goals was named the decider in a contest.
Sandven got a taste of the NAHL in the 2023-24 season. He hit the ice in eight contests with the Minnesota Wilderness where he notched an assist. The ‘04 blueliner will skate with fellow Bismarck Bobcat, Kyle Doll in the fall.
“I am really excited for this upcoming year and it’s a great opportunity for me to become a better student and a player,” Sandven said.
Sandven is one of 21 members of the Bismarck Bobcats to make a college hockey commitment.
