Chippewa Defenseman Mauser makes NCAA Commitment

The Chippewa Steel of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Colton Mauser has committed to play NCAA hockey for Skidmore College in the SUNYAC.
The 5’8 blueliner from Murrysville, Pennsylvania, is heading to New York to skate with the Thoroughbreds in the fall. Mauser is a second-year veteran of the NAHL. This past season, he hit the ice in 55 games for the Steel. He scored eight goals and made 13 assists for the Wisconsin-based team. One of his goals was named the decider in a contest and scored three goals on the man advantage.
In his debut season in the NAHL, he laced up in 54 games with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. He found the back of the net four times while notching six assists for the Ice Dogs. One of his goals was named the game-winning goal.
Mauser played a total of 109 games in the NAHL. He tallied 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 career points.
Mauser is one of 11 members of the Chippewa Steel to make a college hockey commitment.
