NA Now: Maine Nordiques

The NA Now video series features an in-depth look into all NAHL teams as they prepare for the 2025-26 season. Each interview features each team’s head coach, as they dive into detail on the expectations and outlooks for this upcoming season.

Head Coach: Nick Skerlick (3rd season)
2024-25 Regular Season Record: 35-18-4-2 – 76 points (3rd in East Division)
2024-25 Leading Scorer: Ethan Wongus (20-40–60)
2025 Playoffs: Lost East Division Finals 3-1 against the Rochester Jr. Americans

Formation Year: 2019 (7th season)
“I think this season our biggest goal is going to be developing unity as quickly as possible and really finding out the 24-man roster as quickly as possible,” said Head Coach of the Nordiques, Nick Skerlick. “Last year when we got to the end of the year, we lost two key players in February and March, and it was turnkey for anyone to play on our team last year.”
Nick Skerlick heads into his third year as a bench boss for the Maine Nordiques. After coming off an East Division Finals appearance, the Nordiques are hungry to make their way to Blaine, Minnesota for the Robertson Cup. Skerlick went into detail on what the summer has looked like for the Maine organization and what is ahead for the hockey program.
