Maine Captain Trépanier makes NCAA Commitment

The Maine Nordiques of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Laurent Trépanier has committed to play NCAA hockey for Hobart College in the SUNYAC.

Hailing from Sant-Basile-Le-Grand, Québec, Trépanier will head to the three-time defending Division III National Champions, the Hobart College Statesmen, in the fall. The 5’10 lefty has been a long-time skater of the Maine Nordiques. He has played for the Nordiques over four seasons. This past year, he laced up in 68 games for Maine, tallying a team-leading 26 goals while notching 36 assists. Four of his goals were named as deciders in contests, while seven goals were scored on the man advantage. His offensive production doubled from last season to this year for the Nordiques. Trépanier additionally featured a team-leading +38 rating on the year. This past season, he was named as a Top Prospect for the East Division roster at the 2025 Top Prospects Tournament.

Trépanier hit the ice in 65 contests during his 2023-24 campaign. He scored eight goals and produced 19 assists for the Nordiques. One of his eight goals was named as the decider in a contest. The 21-year-old played his first full season for Maine during the 2022-23 season. He played in 54 games, tallying 15 goals and nine assists for the Nordiques roster. Three of his goals were named as the game-winning goal, while one goal was scored on the man-advantage.

The ‘04 skater got his first taste of the NAHL in the spring of 2022. He played in four games for the Nordiques as an 18-year-old. Trépanier played a total of 187 games with the Nordiques, securing 115 career points for the team. 

Trépanier is one of the thirteen members of the Maine Nordiques to make a NCAA college hockey commitment.
