Springfield Goaltender Murphy makes NCAA Commitment

The Springfield Jr. Blues of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that goaltender Frank Murphy has committed to play NCAA hockey for Utica University in the UCHC.
The 6’3 netminder from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, will head to Utica, New York, to play for the Pioneers in the fall. Murphy is a first-year player in the NAHL. This past season, he hit the ice in 41 games, featuring a 18-18-3 record between the pipes. This past season, he featured two shutout performances for the Jr. Blues and spotlighted a .923 save percentage. Murphy was also named as a Top Prospect for the Midwest Division roster at the 2025 Top Prospects Tournament. The ‘04 netminder helped the Midwest Division team secure a win in the blue pain, stopping 27 out of 29 shots.
Murphy is one of nine members of the Springfield Jr. Blues to make a college hockey commitment.
