Maryland Defenseman Mannebratt makes NCAA DI Commitment

The Maryland Black Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Victor Mannebratt has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for University of Alaska - Anchorage.
The 6’1 righty hailing from the hockey-rich nation of Sweden, Mannebratt will be skating with the Seawolves next fall. The ‘05 blueliner is a second-year veteran of the Maryland Black Bears. This year, he has hit the ice in five contests with the East Division team, tallying two goals and two assists. One of his goals was scored on the man advantage for Maryland.
Last season, Mannebratt laced up in 50 games and found the back of the net 12 times while notching 31 assists. He led defensemen on his roster in goals, assists, and 43 total points. The blueliner was also named as a Top Prospect for the East Division roster last year.
Mannebratt shares more about what it means to secure this commitment and expresses his gratitude to the Black Bears organization.
“I want to thank all my coaches, teammates, and billets who have helped me become the player I am today. I want to say a big thank you to the Maryland Black Bears and their amazing fans for letting me be a part of their family. I will forever be thankful for what they have done for me. I am very excited for my next chapter in Alaska.”
Head Coach of the Black Bears, Clint Mylymok, dives into detail on the type of athlete Victor has been for Maryland.
“Victor is a high-end, competitive player who brings a lot of intangibles to our program. He is a great teammate, well respected by his peers, and we feel has the ability to be a very impactful NCAA Division I defenseman. We are excited about this commitment and extremely proud of Victor.”
Mannebratt is one of four members of the Maryland Black Bears to make a Division I hockey college commitment.
