New Jersey Forward Pecknold makes NCAA Commitment

The New Jersey Titans of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Tate Pecknold has committed to play NCAA hockey for Trinity College in the NESCAC. 

Heading to play with the Bantams in his home state of Connecticut, Tate Pecknold will skate for Trinity College next fall. Pecknold is a second-year veteran of the League of Opportunity. He has laced up for the Titans in 11 games so far this season, tallying four goals and four assists. Additionally, one of his goals was scored on the man advantage, and one was named the game-winning goal. The 6’0 lefty has been clutch for New Jersey in the shootout, finding the back of the net three times for his team. The ‘05 forward spent his first season in the NAHL with the Johnstown Tomahawks, hitting the ice in 52 games. He scored 11 goals while making 18 assists for the Tomahawks. He featured a +5 rating for his 2024-25 campaign.

Head coach of the Titans, George Haviland, explains more about Pecknold’s ability.

His hockey mind and abilities to make consistent plays, along with his competitive side, will make him a strong NESCAC player immediately.”

Pecknold is one of three members of the New Jersey Titans to make a college ice hockey commitment.
