The Wranglers Wrangled Up Their Second Win Against the Jackalopes

Jake Thornton tallied his first goal of the season

Odessa 1 @ Amarillo 2 - The Amarillo Wranglers hosted the Odessa Jackalopes for the third time in three days to close out the weekend series. Each team has won once before Sunday night’s matchup. Each game has been decided by a one-goal margin. The Wranglers struck first with just under ten minutes left in the first period on a goal by Jake Thornton, assisted by Mason Lupo. In the second period, the Wranglers would add to their lead with a goal by Caden Hegarty, assisted by Jacob Miller and Hayden Hedquist for the 2-0 lead. The Jackalopes would strike on the power play halfway through the second on a goal by Alex Thomas, assisted by Jeremy Jacobs and Nicholas Arrington. The third period would see no scoring, as the Amarillo Wranglers emerged with the 2-1 victory, improving to 7-6-0-1 on the season.
