Tuesday Thriller: Maryland Shutouts Philadelphia
Philadelphia 0 @ Maryland 3 - The Rebels head to the Black Bears' den for a Tuesday morning thriller. The scoring kicked off with the NAHL leading scorer, Harrison Smith, finding the back of the net at the 7:15 minute mark in the opening frame. Following him six minutes later, Anthony Pellitteri secured his fourth tally of the year to give Maryland the 2-0 lead heading into the first intermission. The second period was a scoreless affair with Maryland outshooting Philadelphia 8-4. In the final 20 minutes, it looked like it was going to be a 2-0 victory until the final seconds of the contest. Army commit Jaden Sikura finds the back of the net with 39 seconds to spare. The Black Bears extend their win streak to eight straight games. Between the pipes for Maryland, Ryan Denes stopped all 15 shots to secure the shutout.
