Tuesday Thriller: Northeast Skates Away with 3-1 victory
Northeast 3 @ Johnstown 1 - The Johnstown Tomahawks hosted the Northeast Generals for their third matchup of the season. Johnstown had won the previous two matchups against the Generals, 8-4 and 4-2. In the first period, the Tomahawks opened up the scoring with a goal from forward Kalib Capecci at 16:21. In the second period, the Generals would tie up the score with a shorthanded goal from forward Braydon Hudtloff. In the third period, the Generals would pull forward with a lead from a goal by defenseman Stephen Fabiano at 14:51. The Generals would proceed to extend their lead with a power play goal by forward Andrew Gibbons at 7:55. The Tomahawks would pull their goalie for the extra attacker, however, they were unable to tie up the game and the Generals would proceed to win 3-1. Will Mizenko started in net for the Generals and made 32 saves on 33 shots. Nikita Oleksiienko started in net for Johnstown and made 27 saves on 30 shots.
