New Jersey Alternate Captain Leahy makes NCAA Commitment

The New Jersey Titans of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Owen Leahy has committed to play NCAA hockey for Hamilton College in the NESCAC. 

The second-year New Jersey veteran, Leahy, will head to Clinton, New York, to skate with the Continentals in the fall. The 5-foot-9 forward has laced up for 40 games with the Titans this season. Leahy has found the back of the net 11 times, while producing 15 assists for his team. The Rhode Island native ranks third on his roster with 26 points on the season. Three of his tallies were game-winning goals, while four goals were scored on the man advantage.

In Leahy’s debut season in the League of Opportunity, the ‘05 skater hit the ice in 61 games for the Titans. The alternate captain scored 21 goals while notching 26 assists for New Jersey. Four of his goals were named the decider in contests, while five goals were scored on the power play. The 20-year-old has hit a milestone, playing over 100 games in the NAHL this past weekend. In  his NAHL career, he has scored 32 goals and made 41 assists in 101 games played.

Leahy is one of five members of the New Jersey Titans to make a college ice hockey commitment.
