NAHL Announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) announced today the Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for the week ending February 15, 2026. Only players that are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the Divisional Player of the Week awards.

Central Division Star of the Week: Eddie Revenig, Defenseman, Bismarck Bobcats

The 20-year-old from the State of Hockey, Eddie Revenig, led defensemen in the league with five points on the weekend. Starting on Friday night, the 5-foot-11 blueliner produced a season-high four-point performance for the Bobcats. He first provided the primary power-play assist on Nick Snyder’s tally in the opening frame. He would show up on the scoresheet again with a goal midway through the second period. Revenig would then notch an assist on Mark Evans’ goal at the 17-second mark of the second period. The Minnesota native would finish out his night with an assist on Gianni DiVita’s shorthanded tally in the final 20 seconds of the game. Moving into Saturday night, Revenig's offensive skill from the blue line would be spotlighted once more for the weekend. The first-year Bobcat would provide the assist on Frantisek Broz’s goal in the second frame. Bismarck would skate away with a weekend sweep thanks to Revenig’s defensive and offensive skillset.

Head coach of Bobcats, Garrett Roth, went into detail on what he has seen from Revenig this past weekend.

“Eddie had a great weekend and has really focused on his consistency on the defensive side of the puck. He plays in every situation for us and has a great ability to break pressure and create offense on the rush and in the zone.  His offensive ability was on full display this weekend with the impact he made on the scoresheet. Eddie has been a huge part of our success this year, and he is really developing into a premier defenseman in this league.”

East Division Star of the Week: Jon Dukaric, Goaltender, Danbury Hat Tricks

The 6-foot-3 netminder from Slovenia, Jon Dukaric, earns his second East Division Star of the Week honors with his performance between the pipes this past weekend. Starting things off on Friday afternoon, the 20-year-old earned his first shootout victory of the season with a 31-save performance against the New Hampshire Mountain Kings. Dukaric saved post shootout goals to give his team the 3-2 win on home ice. Moving into Saturday afternoon, the Slovenian netminder notched his fourth shutout in his NAHL career. He stopped all 32 shots by the Mountain Kings, securing the Hat Tricks a weekend sweep.

For the weekend, he notched two wins, a .969 save percentage, and .960 goals-against average. He stopped a total of 63 out of 66 shots on net. Dukaric was a 2025 NAHL Entry Draft pick by the Hat Tricks. He was selected in the 8th round, 245th overall. For the season, the ‘05 goaltender has earned 17 wins in 31 games played, spotlighting a .921 save percentage and 2.59 goals-against average.

Midwest Division Star of the Week: Thomas Gunderson, Forward, Fairbanks Ice Dogs

Securing a career-high night in his sixth game as an Ice Dog, Thomas Gunderson shined on Saturday night for his team. Gunderson is a third-year veteran of the NAHL. He was recently acquired by the Ice Dogs from their in-state rival, the Kenai River Brown Bears. Gunderson and his team are on their Lower 48 road trip and faced the Springfield Jr. Blues this past weekend. Friday night featured Fairbanks falling to the Jr Blues, and they were looking to respond in a big way on Saturday night. The Duluth, Minnesota native lit the lamp five times in the contest, with four of his goals in the second frame. His offensive production was not only a season-high, but a NAHL career high. The 5-foot-10 lefty helped to lift his team to a 9-2 victory.

For the season, Gunderson has tallied 18 goals while producing 20 assists. Gunderson has recently hit a milestone, playing over 100 NAHL career games. The Minnesota native has logged 70 career points in his three-year junior career.

Head coach of the Ice Dogs, Dakota Bell, shares more on Gunderson's offensive dominance on Saturday night.

“To see Thomas score five goals in one game was truly amazing! He and his linemates, Luca Ricciardi and Matthew Volkman, were clicking all night and made some beautiful plays. When Gundy is able to use his terrific speed and then find space to shoot, that’s when he’s at his best. Seemingly every shift, he was getting scoring chances, and he was able to finish them.”

Bell shared more about how Gunderson fits in with the Ice Dogs organization.

“Thomas has brought great energy to our club since his arrival a few weeks ago. He’s found a way to fit into the locker room really well, and his teammates already trust him. We’re glad to have him on our side and looking forward to watching him have more success as we push towards the final stretch of the regular season.”

South Division Star of the Week: Tyler Hodges, Goaltender, Shreveport Mudbugs

The 6-foot-2 netminder from Gormley, Ontario, Tyler Hodges, helped the Mudbugs pick up three crucial points over the weekend against the Amarillo Wranglers. The 6-foot-2 goaltender kicked off his weekend with his fourth shutout of the season on Friday night. Hodges stopped all 26 shots on net to lift his team to a 3-0 victory on their road trip. Moving into Saturday night, the Mudbugs battled with the Wranglers in a back-and-forth at the Budweiser Bull Pen. The contest would be forced into overtime and an eventual shootout. The Mudbugs would fall in 4-3 shootout fashion; however, the 6-foot-2 netminder spotlighted a 31-save performance while helping his team secure three out of four points for the weekend.

For the weekend, Hodges notched a .950 save percentage and 1.44 goals-against average. His dominance in the blue paint on Friday night marked his fourth shutout of the year.

Head coach of the Mudbugs, Jason Campbell, went into detail on Hodges’ performance from the weekend.

“Hodgey had another great weekend doing his thing. Made several point-blank saves on Friday to preserve the shutout and win. Saturday night was a lot of the same, with him leading the way to our team gaining another much-needed point.”
