Elmira Alternate Captain Piccirillo makes NCAA Commitment

The Elmira Aviators of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Andrew Piccirillo has committed to play NCAA hockey for Curry College in the CNE.

Hailing from Staten Island, New York, Piccirillo will head to Milton, Massachusetts, to skate with the Colonels in the fall. The 5-foot-9 blueliner is a second-year veteran of the Aviators, lacing up in 92 games for Elmira over the past two seasons. This year, the 21-year-old has played in 45 games for the Aviators, producing seven assists for the East Division team. In his 2024-25 campaign, Piccirillo would lace up in 47 games for Elmira, finding the back of the net once while securing seven assists for the first-year team.

The New York native was drafted by Elmira in the 2024 NAHL Entry Draft in the 11th round, 352nd overall. Prior to skating in the League of Opportunity, he spent a season in the T1ER, skating in 13 games during his 18U season.

Piccirillo is one of seven members of the Elmira Aviators to make a college ice hockey commitment.
