Monday Matchup: Oklahoma Battles Back in a Third-Period Thriller

Kiss scored the game-winner in the contest

New Mexico 1 @ Oklahoma 3 - The Oklahoma Warriors hosted the New Mexico Ice Wolves for their fifth matchup of the season. Each team had won half of their previous matchups against one another. New Mexico got on the board seven seconds into the first period with a goal from forward Sean Gibbons. Gibbons’ goal would be the only one until halfway through the third period, where Oklahoma finally tied the game with a shorthanded goal at 11:39 from forward Mason Wright. The Warriors would proceed to take the lead of the game with a goal from forward Dominik Kiss at 9:51. They would extend their lead with a goal from forward Alexander Duhon with 17 seconds remaining to win the game 3-1. Billy Stuski started in net for Oklahoma and made 34 saves on 35 shots. Jackson Silverberg started in net for the Ice Wolves and made 26 saves on 29 shots.
