Johnstown Forward Marshall makes NCAA Commitment

The Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Emerson Marshall has committed to play NCAA hockey for Colby College in the NESCAC.

The 5-foot-10 lefty from Gloucester, Massachusetts, Marshall will head to Waterville, Maine, to skate with the Mules in the fall. Marshall is a second-year veteran of the NAHL, skating 100+ games in the League of Opportunity. This season, Marshall has hit the ice in 46 games with the Tomahawks, finding the back of the net 16 times while featuring a team-leading 28 assists on the season. In addition, the Massachusetts native ranks second on his roster with 44 points on the season. His offensive prowess has been evident on the ice, with three of his tallies being named as deciders in contests, while five goals were scored on the man advantage. His work on the ice earned him East Division Star of the Week honors on September 29, 2025.

In his debut season in the NAHL, Marshall played for the Lone Star Brahmas. The 5-foot-10 forward laced up in 59 games with the South Division team, scoring four goals while making 8 assists. In addition, two of his tallies were named deciders in contests. 

Marshall is one of eight members of the Johnstown Tomahawks to make a college ice hockey commitment.
