St. Cloud Defenseman Geyer makes NCAA Commitment

The St. Cloud Norsemen of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Tyler Geyer has committed to play NCAA hockey for University of Wisconsin-Stout in the WIAC.

The 5-foot-11 skater from State of Hockey, Geyer, will head to Menomonie, Wisconsin, to skate with the Blue Devils in the fall. The ‘05 blueliner is a third-year veteran of the Norsemen. This season, Geyer has laced up 31 games and has notched four assists for St. Cloud. In his 2024-25 campaign, the Blaine, Minnesota, native hit the ice in 51 games. He scored three goals and made 13 assists for St. Cloud.

Geyer played 35 games in his rookie season in the League of Opportunity. The 20-year-old scored his first junior goal and produced nine assists during the 2023-24 season. During the Minnesota native’s senior year of high school, Geyer got the opportunity to play in five games with the Norsemen. The 5-foot-11 played in 122 career games with the Norsemen, featuring 30 career points.

Prior to joining the Norsemen, the Minnesota native won a Minnesota High School State Championship. In the 2020-21 season, Geyer and his team at Gentry Academy took home the Class A title.

Geyer is one of three members of the St. Cloud Norsemen to make a college ice hockey commitment.
