Sunday Wrap-up: Anchorage Secures Series Sweep with a Big Four-Goal Push in Opening Frame

Janesville 1 @ Anchorage 5 - In the only NAHL game in Alaska on Sunday, the Anchorage Wolverines controlled the contest over the Janesville Jets with a four-goal lead. From the first period, Sam Evert opened the score by tucking one in, after Landon Greenough fired one on net to create a loose puck situation. Moments later, the Duke, Duke Gentzler buried one short-side after Cole Frawner created a rebound opportunity. Bowen Burke would extend that lead even further minutes later by slapping a beauty past the glove side of the Jets’ goalie. Then at the five-minute mark, Chase Trompeter tipped in a feed by Greenough before going into the second with a four-nothing lead. In the middle frame, however, Ty Bashaw broke the ice for Janesville. Then in the third, the Wolverines had a late response, as Harout Arutyunyan called it a night with a final score of 5-1.
