NAHL Alumnus, Jack Anderson, Signs NHL Contract with Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars announced today that former El Paso Rhino skater, Jack Anderson, has signed a two-year entry-level NHL contract beginning for the 2026-27 season. The former Rhino defenseman will report to the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League (AHL) for the remainder of the year.

Anderson just wrapped up his senior season with the Michigan Tech Huskies. While skating with the Huskies, the alternate captain scored a career-best 24 points for his team in 39 games played. The 6-foot-6 defenseman tallied 11 goals while producing 13 assists this year. The St. Louis, Missouri, native ranks fourth among all NCAA defensemen with his 11 tallies. His defensive skill set on the ice led all Huskies skaters with 67 blocked shots. Anderson was named the CCHA Defensive Defenseman of the Year and to the All-CCHA First Team.

Prior to skating with Michigan Tech, Anderson spent three seasons at Lindenwood University. He played in 90 games with the Lions, scoring four goals while making 21 assists during his tenure. Just like his senior season, Anderson led his team all three seasons in blocked shots at Lindenwood.

Before playing collegiately, Anderson spent a full season in the NAHL with the El Paso Rhinos. He laced up in 57 junior games with the Texas-based team, finding the back of the net five times while notching 19 assists during the 2021-22 season. Before playing in the League of Opportunity, the St. Louis, Missouri, native played four seasons in the T1ER with the CarShield program.
