El Paso Defenseman Porco makes NCAA Commitment
The El Paso Rhinos of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Jackson Porco has committed to play NCAA hockey for St. Olaf College in the MIAC.
Hailing from Byron Center, Michigan, Porco will join the Oles in Northfield, Minnesota, in the fall. Porco is a 6-foot-2 first-year blueliner for the Rhinos. This season, the ‘05 skater has laced up in 51 games for El Paso, scoring a goal while making seven assists. Last year, Porco was tendered by the El Paso Rhinos in late March.
The defenseman got his first taste of the NAHL during the 2023-24 season, where he laced up for two games for the Maryland Black Bears in a weekend appearance.
Porco is one of six members of the El Paso Rhinos to make a college ice hockey commitment.
