The Rochester Jr. Americans of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Michael Gravina has committed to play NCAA hockey for SUNY Cortland in the SUNYAC.

The 6-foot-1 blueliner from the Volunteer State, Gravina, will be skating with the Red Dragons in the fall in Cortland, New York. The 20-year-old is a first-year player in the League of Opportunity. Gravina started his season in the Midwest Division, playing for the Chippewa Steel. He was drafted in the 2025 NAHL Entry Draft by the Steel in the 12th round, 390th overall. With Chippewa, the ‘05 lefty laced up in 15 games, scoring two goals while making an assist. Following his time in Chippewa, he went down South to skate with the Lone Star Brahmas. He hit the ice for the Brahmas in eight games before being acquired by the Rochester Jr. Americans. Gravina has played 26 games rocking the red, white, and blue, notching two goals and six assists from the blue line.

Gravina is one of 12 members of the Rochester Jr. Americans  to make a college ice hockey commitment.
