Maryland Goaltender Gatto makes NCAA Commitment

The Maryland Black Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that goaltender Dom Gatto has committed to play NCAA hockey for the Milwaukee School of Engineering in the NCHA.

Hailing from St. Charles, Illinois, Gatto will play between the pipes for the Raiders in the fall. Gatto is a first-year netminder for the Black Bears. This season, the 20-year-old features 19 wins over 27 games played, featuring a 2.40 goals-against average with the Black Bears. His work in net earned him the distinction of October’s Goaltender of the Month. During October, Gatto featured a shutout and four games with one or fewer goals scored in the span. His work in the blue paint has helped to lift Maryland to a dominant season record, earning the regular season title in the NAHL.

Gatto is one of 11 members of the Maryland Black Bears to make a college ice hockey commitment.
