New Jersey Forward Murphy makes NCAA Commitment

The New Jersey Titans of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Ryan Murphy has committed to play NCAA hockey for Lake Forest College in the NCHA. 

Hailing from Great Britain, Murphy will join the Foresters in Lake Forest, Illinois, in the fall. The 6-foot-1 skater is a second-year NAHL veteran. He started his junior career with the Watertown Shamrocks in their debut season in the League of Opportunity. He skated in 38 games for the Shamrocks, finding twine twice while producing three assists. The ‘05 skater returned to the NAHL for his second season, this time playing in the Midwest Division for the Chippewa Steel. Murphy skated with the Steel in 15 games, scoring five goals while notching three assists.

Following his stint in Chippewa, he joined the New Jersey Titans midway through February. In the East Division, Murphy hit the ice in 17 regular-season games, tallying a goal and two assists.

For his NAHL career, the ‘05 forward played a total of 72 career games, scoring eight goals while making eight assists.

Murphy is one of nine members of the New Jersey Titans to make a college ice hockey commitment.
