New Jersey Defenseman Lanza makes NCAA Commitment

The New Jersey Titans of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Jonathan Lanza has committed to play NCAA hockey for Hamilton College in the NESCAC. 

The 6-foot skater from Winthrop, Massachusetts, Lanza will head back to his home state to skate for the William College Ephs in the fall. Lanza is a first-year defenseman in the League of Opportunity. He started his year with the Maryland Black Bears, playing from the blue line in 36 games. The 21-year-old tallied four goals while making 11 assists in that span for the Black Bears. He featured 15 points while notching a +20 rating in that span. Following his time with Maryland, the ‘05 blueliner was acquired by the New Jersey Titans in early February. He skated in 19 regular-season games for the Titans, scoring three goals while making three assists.

Williams College is coming off a postseason berth for the first time in 10 years. The Ephs clinched the 2026 NESCAC Conference championship title, punching their ticket to the postseason. Lanza will join three fellow current NAHLers in the fall. The three players are Mitchell McCusker from the Kenai River Brown Bears, Sloan Farmer from the New Mexico Ice Wolves, and Spencer Hirsch from the Northeast Generals. 

Lanza is one of nine members of the New Jersey Titans to make a college ice hockey commitment.
