Minnesota Mallards Forward Roberts Makes NCAA Commitment

The Minnesota Mallards of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Jack Roberts has committed to play NCAA hockey for Salve Regina University.

The 6-foot-3 forward from Glencoe, Illinois, will join the Seahawks in Newport, Rhode Island in the fall. Roberts is a second-year veteran of the NAHL, playing over 100 games in the League of Opportunity. He started his junior career with the New Jersey Titans in the 2024-25 season. He played 47 games for the Titans, scoring four goals while making five assists. Two of his tallies in his rookie season were named the decider in contests.

Moving into his second season in the NAHL, Roberts started his season with the Titans, playing in four games with the East Division team. Following his time in New Jersey, he was acquired by the Chippewa Steel in the Midwest Division. He hit the ice in seven games for the Steel, notching an assist in that span. The ‘05 skater was then acquired by the Johnstown Tomahawks and played 22 games with the East Division team. The Illinois native would make one more stop in his NAHL career, this time heading to the Central Division to play with the Mallards.

The 6-foot-3 forward laced up in 21 games with the Minnesota-based team. He scored three goals while recording nine assists for the Mallards. One of his tallies was named the decider in a contest.

Salve Regina University Seahawks are coming off making their third postseason appearance as a program.

Roberts is one of 10 members of the Minnesota Mallards to make a college ice hockey commitment.
