New Mexico Forward Pai makes NCAA Commitment

The New Mexico Ice Wolves of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Nayan Pai has committed to play NCAA hockey for St. Olaf College in the MIAC.

The 5-foot-10 lefty from Redwood City, California, Pai will join the Oles in Northfield, Minnesota, in the fall. The ‘05 skater laced up in 51 games during the regular season for the Ice Wolves. Pai tallied 15 goals and 26 assists in his second season with New Mexico. He featured two game-winning goals while notching a +6 rating on the ice. The Golden State skater is tied third overall on his roster with his 41 points during the regular season. During the playoffs, the ‘05 forward played in three games for the Ice Wolves. He scored two goals in that span.

In his first season playing in the League of Opportunity, he laced up in 46 games for New Mexico. He scored 11 goals while making 16 assists during his 2024-25 campaign. His scoring ways in decisive times of the games feature Pai scoring four game-winning goals for his team.

The California skater played 100 career games for the Ice Wolves, securing 70 points for the South Division team. He found twine 28 times in his NAHL career while producing a total of 42 assists over the two seasons.

Pai is one of 13 members of the New Mexico Ice Wolves to make a college ice hockey commitment.
