The Minot Minotauros of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Trevor Stewart has committed to play NCAA hockey for Colby College in the NESCAC.

The 6-foot blueliner from Cumming, Georgia, Stewart will head to Waterville, Maine in the fall. Stewart just wrapped up his final season of junior hockey. He started his season with the Kenai River Brown Bears, skating in 12 contests for the Midwest Division team. The ‘05 skater scored three goals and made three assists in that span. Stewart was then acquired by the Minot Minotauros, where he would play 22 games with the Central Division team. From the blue line, Stewart found twine twice and notched nine assists for the Tauros. He scored his first game-winning goal and power-play goal in his NAHL career with Minot.

The Georgia native got his first taste of the League of Opportunity with the North Iowa Bulls in the 2024-25 season. He laced up in two games for the Bulls, scoring his first NAHL goal.

Stewart is one of nine members of the Minot Minotauros to make a college ice hockey commitment.
