El Paso Defenseman Shore makes NCAA Commitment

The El Paso Rhinos of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Tommy Shore has committed to play NCAA hockey for the University of Dubuque in the NCHA.

The 5-foot-11 lefty from Overland Park, Kansas, Shore will join the Spartans in the fall in Dubuque, Iowa. Shore was one of the top-scoring defenseman in the NAHL, recording 58 points in 56 games played. Shore’s offensive skill set from the blue line had the El Paso skater recording 36 of his points during the regular season on the man advantage. In addition, the Kansas native scored four goals in game-winning fashion and four tallies on the power play. His work on the ice helped the Rhinos make a postseason run, clinching an organization-first in the process. El Paso made their first South Division Finals since joining the League of Opportunity. Shore played nine postseason games, registering five points for the Rhinos. He found twine twice and produced three assists in the playoffs. Both of his tallies were scored in power-play fashion.

His work on the ice earned him the opportunity to play at the Top Prospects Tournament on the South Division roster for the 2025-26 season. In addition, Shore was named to the All-South Division Team and November’s  Defenseman of the Month.

Shore made his NAHL debut in the 2024-25 season. He started his NAHL career with the Janesville Jets, playing five games with the Midwest Division team. He was then acquired by the Rhinos and laced up for 21 games for the team in the Sun City.

Shore is one of eight members of the El Paso Rhinos to make a college ice hockey commitment.
