Elmira Forward Maguire Makes NCAA Commitment

The Elmira Aviators of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Corson Maguire has committed to play NCAA hockey for SUNY Cortland in the SUNYAC.

The 5-foot-10 righty from Toronto, Ontario, Maguire will join the Red Dragons in New York this fall. The ‘05 skater has played 91 career games in the NAHL, skating in the East and South Division during his time. He started his junior career with the Amarillo Wranglers, skating three games with them during the 2023-24 season. He tallied a goal in that span.

The next season, he returned to the Wranglers, lacing up for 34 games for the South Division team. He found twine 14 times and notched 15 assists in his first full season in the League of Opportunity. Maguire registered 29 points in 34 games played. He featured a +15 rating and scored four power-play goals in that span.

Moving into his age-out season, Maguire started the year with the Rochester Jr. Americans. He hit the ice for 38 contests in the red, white, and blue. The ‘05 forward scored 11 goals and made 10 assists with Rochester. In early February, Maguire was acquired by the Elmira Aviators, where he would register over a point per game with the New York-based team. He laced up in 19 contests, sporting 23 points in the span. He tallied 10 goals and made 13 assists. Three of his goals were scored on the man advantage.

Maguire is one of 11 members of the Elmira Aviators to make a college ice hockey commitment.
