Rochester Forward Dustin makes NCAA DI Commitment

June 29, 2026

The Rochester Jr. Americans of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Colin Dustin has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Niagara University in the Atlantic.

The 5-foot-11 righty from Ohio, Dustin has secured a Division I commitment to the Niagara Purple Eagles. Dustin is an ‘07 skater that just wrapped up his rookie season in the League of Opportunity. He played in 53 regular season games with the Jr. Americans, registering 40 points with the New York-based program. The 19-year-old scored 20 goals and made 20 assists, ranking second on his roster with his 20 tallies. He produced three game-winning goals with the team, and notched three power-play tallies.

In the postseason, Dustin laced up for seven games with Rochester. He scored two goals and made an assist for the red, white, and blue. One of his tallies was named the decider in a contest.

His work on the ice earned him a spot at the Top Prospects Tournament. He played for the Selects Red roster during the two-day tournament.

Dustin is one of 14 members of the Rochester Jr. Americans to make a Division I hockey college commitment.
