New Mexico Forward Hewko makes NCAA Commitment

The New Mexico Ice Wolves of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Tim Hewko has committed to play NCAA hockey for Lake Forest College in the NCHA. 

The 20-year-old from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Hewko will head to Lake Forest, Illinois in the fall. The 6-foot-3 lefty is a second-year veteran of the NAHL. This past season, the ‘05 skater laced up for 44 games for the Ice Wolves. He scored two goals and made four assists in that span for the South Division team. 

In his rookie season, Hewko hit the ice in 53 contests. The Michigan skater scored three goals and produced 15 assists for the Ice Wolves. One of his goals was named a decider in a matchup.

For his NAHL career, Hewko played 97 games in an Ice Wolves sweater. He registered 24 career points across the regular season and postseason.

Hewko is one of 14 members of the New Mexico Ice Wolves to make a college ice hockey commitment.
