Kenai River Defenseman Ballard makes NCAA Commitment
The Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Alex Ballard has committed to play NCAA hockey for College of St. Scholastica in the MIAC.
The 5-foot-9 blueliner from the State of Hockey, Ballard, will return to his home state to play for the Saints. The ‘06 skater laced up in 57 games for the Brown Bears, just two games shy of playing in every contest this season. Ballard scored two goals while notching 20 assists for the Midwest Division team. He ranked second overall on his roster for his 20 helpers during the regular season. The Roseau, Minnesota native scored one of his two tallies on the man advantage for Kenai River.
Ballard is one of six members of the Kenai River Brown Bears to make a college ice hockey commitment.
